Police registered a case against MD Ravindranath

The Jubilee Hills police have registered a case against Jubilee Hills Cooperative House Building Society (JHCHBS) president & MD Ravindranath and JHCHBS treasurer Nagaraju under various sections for alleged irregularities in society land.

According to the police report, a man named Suresh Babu had lodged a complaint at the Jubilee Hills police station alleging that Ravindranath had sold land worth crores of rupees for a less price.

In his complaint, he said that the MD had sold about 365 yards of society land giving no information to the society committee. The land was sold to a woman named Parvati Devi for just Rs 45,000 a yard. Against this backdrop, the sale of the land, valued at over Rs 7 crore, has resulted in a loss of Rs. 5 Crore to society.

The officials said they are conducting a thorough investigation. However, another controversy erupted here as the GHMC officials also complained that their land had been confiscated. More details regarding the same are awaited.
