Ram Pothineni, the charming Tollywood hero who made his debut as a leading man nearly two decades ago, is now preparing for the biggest experiment of his career. After working with several directors over the years and facing mixed results with commercially driven and sometimes uneven scripts, the actor has decided to take full control of his next project by stepping into the role of director as well.
Recently, Ram unveiled the first look of the film, hinting at a story where a lone warrior rises against the system. The poster strongly suggests a “lone wolf” theme, reflecting a character who takes on challenges single-handedly—much like Ram himself, who is now steering the project from behind the camera to ensure a stronger creative vision.
A major update from the film is that the team is in talks with S. J. Suryah, who is currently one of the most sought-after performers for negative roles. Initially, the makers had considered Fahadh Faasil for the antagonist role, but the discussions reportedly did not move forward due to high remuneration demands.
At present, negotiations are ongoing with S. J. Suryah for the key antagonist role. The film is being produced under Ram’s own banner, along with support from his close associates.
On the casting front, the team initially considered Srinidhi Shetty for the female lead. However, she has not been finalized yet, as the makers are also exploring other popular options who fit the budget requirements, given the high remuneration expectations reportedly quoted.
With Ram Pothineni taking charge as actor, director, and producer, this project marks the boldest and most ambitious experiment of his career. All eyes are now on how this “lone wolf” vision translates on screen and whether it brings the success he is aiming for.
