Revanth Reddy’s arbitrary decisions stun Congress seniors

Is Revanth Reddy acting in haste? Is he not consulting every senior in the party before admitting people from other parties into the Congress? Is he giving a go bye to the concept of collective leadership that he himself talked about on the day of his oath-taking?

Some seniors in the Telangana Congress raised questions about Revanth Reddy’s arbitrary decisions to bring the likes of Dharmapuri Sanjay and Erra Sekhar into the Congess Party. Sanjay is a spent force after he completed his term as Nizamabad Mayor. Also, he was embroiled in several cases. Though he managed to get all these cases dismissed, the stigma continues to remain. Also, he has remained largely inactive in the TRS.

Senior leaders in Nizamabad like former whip Anil Kumar, TRS working president Mahesh Kumar Goud , former MP Madhu Yashki and even Kamareddy strongman Shabbir Ali are upset over not being consulted while Sanjay was taken into the party. Some of these leaders did not even bother to greet Dharmapuri Sanjay on his entry into the party.

As for Erra Sekhar, he faces several cases. Many of these cases are serious in nature. Yet. The party state chief did not think twice while admitting him into the party. Seniors feel he is more a liability than being an asset. Sources say that these seniors have already shot off a letter to Sonia Gandhi on this issue.
