His father, K. Srinivasan, is said to still serve as a temple priest at the Shiva Vishnu temple in Maraimalai Nagar, while his mother, S. Sumathi, continues her daily commute from Maraimalai Nagar to Mylapore for her cooking job.
It is also reported that the family resides in a house built on private temple land without paying rent, yet they continue their modest routine without altering their lifestyle despite their son’s political elevation.
