Salman Khan Moves Delhi HC Over Film Kala Hiran Amid Rights Violation Claims

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has reportedly moved the Delhi High Court seeking an urgent stay on the production, promotion, and release of the upcoming film Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy. The legal action comes amid controversy surrounding the project, which is said to be inspired by the actor’s 1998 blackbuck poaching case.

According to reports, Salman Khan has alleged that the filmmakers have violated his personality and publicity rights by portraying elements that closely resemble his real-life image and legal history without permission.

The petition further claims that the film’s promotional content, including posters and teaser material, indirectly references him in a way that could damage his reputation. The dispute escalated soon after the teaser of the film was released online.

Earlier, Salman Khan’s legal team had reportedly issued a notice to the makers, demanding that they halt the project and withdraw all promotional materials. However, the filmmakers have continued to defend their work, maintaining that the film is a fictionalized narrative.

Produced by Amit Jani, the film has already attracted widespread attention due to its alleged parallels with the blackbuck case and other controversial events. The Delhi High Court is expected to hear the matter soon, and its decision could determine the future of the project.
