Legendary filmmaker Singeetham Srinivasa Rao’s upcoming musical fantasy entertainer Sing Geetham has been postponed by a day. Originally scheduled for release on June 11, the film will now arrive in theatres on June 12.
According to industry reports, the postponement is due to pending CG and visual effects work. While Sing Geetham is being promoted as a unique musical experience where the narrative unfolds through songs rather than conventional dialogues, the film’s core story is also driven by a supernatural element that relies heavily on VFX.
The makers are reportedly taking extra care to ensure the visual effects meet the desired quality standards, as they play a crucial role in bringing the film’s fantasy world to life. Rather than rushing the final output, the team has opted for a slight delay to fine-tune the technical aspects.
The revised Friday release could also work in the film’s favor by providing a stronger box-office window and a full opening weekend.
Meanwhile, the makers are expected to unveil the theatrical trailer shortly before release, offering audiences a deeper look into the film’s musical and supernatural universe while further building anticipation.
Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema under the supervision of Nag Ashwin, the film stars newcomers Ayaan, Ahilya, and Shalini Kondepudi in lead roles. Music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, adding further intrigue to this unconventional cinematic experiment.
