TDP ‘Goddali Party’ Tag Sparks Pressure on YSRCP

YSRCP is reportedly facing growing political pressure as the TDP intensifies its attacks day by day. Senior leaders within the party are said to be increasingly unhappy over what they perceive as a lack of strong counter-narratives from the leadership against opposition branding.

Earlier, TDP leaders repeatedly used the term “psycho” against YS Jagan, which was not effectively countered, according to some internal voices. Many within the party now feel that the silence during that phase had an impact on YSRCP’s public perception.

Now, the TDP has begun branding YSRCP as the “Goddali Party,” a label that has quickly become a talking point in political circles. Analysts note that such political nicknames are common, but the effectiveness lies in how the targeted party responds to them.

Several senior YSRCP leaders reportedly believe the party is struggling to respond to this narrative in a strong and consistent manner.

A former MLA from the combined Anantapur region is said to have expressed concern that the “Goddali” label is becoming difficult to counter at the ground level. Similarly, a former minister from Srikakulam district is also reported to have voiced internal dissatisfaction over the party’s response strategy.

Some leaders within YSRCP are also reportedly frustrated that they are not being given enough freedom to aggressively counter the ruling party’s narrative. This, they feel, is allowing the opposition message to gain traction.

There are growing concerns that if the situation continues, the “Goddali Party” branding may slowly stick among the public.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy recently attempted to respond to the criticism by referring to past incidents involving his family during the earlier TDP regime. However, political observers feel that the attempt did not strongly resonate with the public.

Apart from the party chief, most other YSRCP leaders have largely remained silent on the issue.

During the recent TDP Mahanadu event, Chandrababu Naidu once again referred to YSRCP as the “Goddali Party,” a remark that reportedly received strong applause from party cadres and supporters.

These ongoing developments have triggered serious internal discussions within YSRCP. Senior leaders are reportedly worried that if the party does not effectively counter the opposition’s narrative, it could have long-term political consequences.
