Superstar Rajinikanth has proved that he is way too cleverer than his colleagues in the film industry. While the other stars, who had a bloated estimation of their vote-catching abilities, were utterly routed in the elections, Rajinikanth retained his aura by not joining the election fray. He has stayed away from politics and ended up protecting his aura of invincibility.
Rajini must be privately laughing in his sleeves seeing the discomfiture of his colleagues like Kamal Haasan, Vijayakanth and Sharat Kumar. All these three film stars have their own political outfits and fought elections in an alliance. All the three leaders had lost the election badly and their parties have been completely decimated. In many places they had even lost their security deposits.
Rajini, who too entertained the idea of joining active politics had tried hard to set up a political party. He held a series of meetings with his fans associations and had even announced that his party would join the polls. However, he had at the last moment, withdrawn from the contest. Thus, had has a face-saving excuse.
Rajini cited Corona infection as the reason for the rethink. He said he was weak in health and would not be able to withstand the rigours of the electioneering. Had he contested, he too may have gone the same way of the other stars. Today, by not contesting, he has managed to keep his charisma and aura in-tact.
