After teasing fans throughout the day, music composers Anirudh Ravichander and S. Thaman finally unveiled details of their much-anticipated collaboration, humorously titled “Bakkodu X Bandodu.” The duo has come together for Itlu Arjuna, the maiden production venture of director Venky Kudumula.
While Thaman is composing the film’s music, Anirudh Ravichander has lent his voice for the first single titled “Hai Re.” The makers also released an engaging promo featuring fun moments between the two composers along with glimpses from the film.
In the promo, Anirudh playfully asks Thaman about the nature of the track he has composed, to which Thaman clarifies that it is a romantic number. The full song is set to be released on May 28.
The collaboration has generated significant buzz as both composers are often viewed as strong rivals in the South Indian music industry. Over the years, Anirudh has expanded his presence in Telugu cinema with films like Devara and The Paradise, strengthening his position in Tollywood. Industry reports suggest that he is currently among the highest-paid music directors in the South, reportedly charging between ₹8 crore and ₹9 crore per film. Thaman, on the other hand, remains one of the busiest composers in Telugu cinema, with an estimated remuneration of ₹3 crore to ₹4 crore per project.
