Vijay’s much-awaited swansong Jana Nayagan is still awaiting clearance from the CBFC, months after missing its planned Pongal release amid legal and political hurdles.
Producer Venkat K Narayana recently stated that the team is currently waiting for the censor certificate and remains hopeful that the approval will arrive soon.
“We are waiting for the certificate. I am sure they will give it anytime soon. We will release the film at the earliest,” he said during a temple visit.
Speaking about Vijay’s growing political influence, the producer also remarked that the actor has now become the “Jana Nayagan of Tamil Nadu,” further highlighting the strong political buzz surrounding the star.
Directed by H. Vinoth, the film is expected to be Vijay’s final appearance on the big screen before he shifts his full focus to politics.
However, the continued delay and the absence of a confirmed release date have left fans increasingly restless, with many eagerly waiting for an official update on the film’s release plans.
