Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy attended the 19th edition of the ‘Rozgar Mela’ held at Rail Kalarang, Secunderabad, on Saturday. During the event, he distributed appointment letters to 218 newly recruited candidates across six central government departments.
The 19th tranche of the nationwide ‘Rozgar Mela’ was conducted across 47 locations in India, where around 51,000 appointment letters were issued to new recruits. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the event virtually.
Speaking on the occasion, Kishan Reddy said that the Rozgar Mela initiative, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is aimed not only at providing employment but also at empowering the country’s youth. He noted that since 2022, lakhs of young people have secured government jobs through these large-scale recruitment drives.
He added that the Central Government is actively filling vacancies across various departments and public sector undertakings to expand employment opportunities for youth. He also said that India’s young population is steadily transitioning from job seekers to job creators, supported by initiatives like startups and the Make in India programme, which have boosted employment in the manufacturing sector.
Congratulating the newly selected candidates, he advised them to serve the nation with dedication and commitment over the next 20 to 30 years. He encouraged them to view their roles as an opportunity to contribute to national development. He also reminded them to take care of their parents, acknowledging their sacrifices in helping them achieve success.
