The Congress party has long been known for accommodating multiple senior leaders with significant influence, a trait that often reflects its broad political base. At the same time, this structure has occasionally led to internal differences and group dynamics. A similar situation now appears to be unfolding in Telangana, particularly in the erstwhile Warangal region.
According to political circles, differences have surfaced between Telangana minister Konda Surekha and senior Congress leader Kadiyam Srihari over party affairs in the district.
Reports suggest that Konda Surekha is unhappy with Srihari’s increasing involvement in party programs and administrative matters across Warangal. As the minister representing the region, she is believed to be of the view that key party activities and coordination should take place under her supervision.
On the other hand, Srihari has reportedly been actively participating in municipal issues and organizational activities, leading to growing discomfort within the local party leadership. Political buzz indicates that Surekha has raised the matter with the Congress high command, seeking clarity on roles and responsibilities to avoid further misunderstandings.
While such differences are not uncommon in a party with several influential leaders, political observers believe that timely intervention by the state leadership and the AICC could help prevent the issue from escalating. With both Konda Surekha and Kadiyam Srihari being experienced politicians, the focus will now be on whether the Congress leadership can resolve the matter and maintain unity within the party ahead of future political challenges.
