Musi Revival Is My Life Goal: Revanth Reddy

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the Musi River rejuvenation project, describing it as his life’s mission. Addressing a public meeting in Nalgonda district on Sunday, the Chief Minister said he is determined to restore the polluted river and complete the ambitious project regardless of the challenges ahead.

Highlighting the environmental and public health concerns caused by pollution in the Musi River, Revanth Reddy said residents of Nalgonda and surrounding areas have been facing hardships for several years. He stressed that the rejuvenation project is aimed at providing long-term relief by improving water quality and restoring the river’s ecological balance.

Drawing comparisons with some of India’s most prominent river restoration initiatives, the Chief Minister said the Musi project would be developed on the lines of the Sabarmati Riverfront in Gujarat, the Yamuna rejuvenation efforts in Delhi, and the Ganga cleaning mission in Uttar Pradesh. He expressed confidence that the transformed Musi River would emerge as a model project for the country.

Revanth Reddy also envisioned the rejuvenated Musi as a landmark destination, saying that visitors from across India and abroad should one day recognize it as a symbol of Hyderabad’s development and environmental transformation.

Reiterating his resolve, the Chief Minister said the government would move ahead with the project despite opposition or other obstacles. He asserted that no challenge would deter his administration from executing the plan and achieving its goal of giving the Musi River a new lease of life.

Emphasizing the government’s determination, Revanth Reddy warned that any attempts to obstruct the project would not prevent its implementation, reaffirming that the Musi rejuvenation initiative remains one of the state’s top development priorities.
