Nara Lokesh launched a sharp attack on Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy over the controversy surrounding the Mega DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process in Andhra Pradesh.
Responding strongly to Jagan’s comments on X, the Andhra Pradesh Education Minister accused the previous YSRCP government of failing to recruit even a single teacher during its five-year tenure. Lokesh said the current coalition government had already filled 16,000 teacher posts and was preparing to release another notification for 10,000 vacancies.
“I can understand Jagan’s frustration. He should continue crying because we are bringing another recruitment notification very soon,” Lokesh remarked while defending the Mega DSC process.
Nara Lokesh alleged that the former YSRCP government neither issued proper job calendars nor conducted teacher recruitment drives. He also accused the opposition of attempting to create suspicion around a transparent recruitment system and disrespecting candidates who secured jobs through merit and hard work.
The minister further demanded that Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy apologise to candidates selected through Mega DSC-2025. He also alleged that YSRCP leaders tried to obstruct recruitment through court cases and created hurdles for companies like Google and TCS, which he claimed affected investments and employment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh.
Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh Fact Check Team and the School Education Department issued detailed clarifications defending the integrity of the Mega DSC-2025 process.
Officials stated that the exams were conducted through a highly secure Computer-Based Test system with advanced digital protection measures. Since multiple sessions used different question papers, authorities clarified that question paper leakage was “technically impossible” and confirmed that no complaints regarding leaks had been received.
The department also explained the disqualification of candidate P. Naveen, stating that his candidature was cancelled under Rule 20(vi) because he appeared for the examination without prior permission and later failed to attend certificate verification.
According to officials, both the Grievance Redressal Committee and the State-Level Appeal Committee examined the issue following High Court directions and resolved the matter according to existing rules.
Authorities highlighted that the Mega DSC-2025 recruitment process was completed within just 148 days from notification to completion, describing it as a record achievement. Merit lists containing marks and rankings were publicly released before certificate verification, ensuring transparency throughout the process.
The Education Department also dismissed allegations related to reservations and appointment procedures. Officials clarified that all selections were conducted strictly according to reservation norms, including horizontal reservations for women, persons with disabilities, and other reserved categories.
The government further maintained that appointments were made entirely through an automated computer-based allocation system based on candidates’ preferences, leaving no scope for manipulation.
Finally, the School Education Department urged political parties and individuals not to spread “false narratives” regarding a recruitment process that it described as systematic, transparent, and merit-based.
