Mahesh Babu and Namrata Shirodkar’s GMB Entertainment, in association with A+S Movies and SriChakraas Entertainments, is backing the upcoming film Rao Bahadur, starring Satya Dev in the lead role.
Written, directed, and edited by Venkatesh Maha, the film has already sparked curiosity with its unconventional promotional approach. The makers have now unveiled a new promo titled Just A Teaser, offering a layered glimpse into the protagonist’s unusual life.
The video introduces Satya Dev as an ageing man suffering from terminal liver cancer, yet mysteriously continuing to survive despite repeated predictions about his death. This unusual premise raises questions about his past, his present, and the secrets he carries.
The teaser moves across different phases of his life, briefly touching upon youthful romance and key life events that appear to have shaped his emotional journey. It also hints at a blurred line between reality and imagination, adding a strong layer of mystery to the narrative.
Satya Dev undergoes a striking transformation for the role, with his look, expressions, and body language reflecting a man burdened by memories, regrets, and unanswered questions. Deepa Thomas plays the female lead.
Visually, Rao Bahadur carries a distinct tone, with Rohan Singh’s production design adding depth to the world, while Kartik Parmar’s cinematography enhances its sombre mood. Smaran Sai’s background score further elevates the emotional and mysterious atmosphere.
