At the RIL AGM 2026 held on June 19, Reliance Jio announced its entry into the home artificial intelligence hardware segment with the launch of Jio TeleFrame. The device is positioned as a central hub for smart homes, designed to function as a network of AI agents that streamline everyday activities ranging from online shopping to home appliance automation.

The launch marks a strategic shift for Reliance Jio as it moves beyond app-based services into dedicated physical infrastructure within households. Jio TeleFrame is envisioned as a unified control system where multiple AI agents can coordinate and execute daily tasks through a single interface, offering a more integrated smart home experience.

Speaking at the AGM, Reliance Jio Infocomm Chairman Akash Ambani said the company is evolving “from an app to a personalized AI advisor,” highlighting Jio TeleFrame as a key step in this transformation.

Jio TeleFrame is described as an “AI operating system for homes” that serves as a central hardware hub orchestrating various specialized AI agents. Unlike conventional apps that require manual input, the system is designed to be proactive and context-aware, anticipating user needs and delivering timely assistance.

It enables centralized AI orchestration, allowing different agents to manage tasks such as scheduling, household coordination and daily planning. It also provides proactive assistance by automatically surfacing updates like weather alerts, reminders and task notifications without requiring user prompts.

The device is deeply integrated into Jio’s digital ecosystem, leveraging high-speed fiber connectivity to manage smart home devices, enable online shopping and support localized AI applications. It also functions as the physical interface for Reliance’s “Intelligence” suite, which includes multilingual services such as JioBharat IQ and JioHealth IQ, designed to operate across 22 Indian languages.

The rollout of Jio TeleFrame is part of a broader AI strategy under the “Reliance Intelligence” umbrella, which aims to deliver cloud-based, multilingual AI services tailored for Indian users across multiple use cases.
