
Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth is rapidly emerging as one of the most sought-after talents in South Indian cinema. Following the success of Kantara: Chapter 2, the actress has lined up a series of high-profile projects across multiple film industries.
Rukmini is already set to make her Telugu debut opposite Jr NTR in Dragon, and industry reports now suggest that she has landed a significant role in one of Tamil cinema’s most anticipated multi-starrers.
The ambitious project will bring together Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan on screen after several decades. Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, the film has generated tremendous buzz ever since it was announced.
Titled Dharman – The Deadly Doctor, the film is progressing steadily, and according to industry sources, Rukmini Vasanth has been cast in a key role. If confirmed, it will also mark her Tamil cinema debut with one of the biggest projects currently in production.
The film also stars Simran, Raashii Khanna, and Yogi Babu in important roles, while Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music. The makers are reportedly planning a Pongal release next year, aiming for a grand festive launch.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is expected to join the project after completing Jailer 2, which is currently being directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Expectations are exceptionally high for the sequel following the massive success of the original Jailer.
