Anirudh’s Sky-High Remuneration Shakes Tollywood

May 3, 2026

Share

Anirudh Ravichander has become the most sought-after music director in Tollywood today, with top heroes and directors lining up to bring him on board. His electrifying compositions have not only elevated films but also heightened fan expectations, making him a key factor in a movie’s overall hype.

With soaring demand, Anirudh’s remuneration has also reached staggering levels. Reports suggest he charged around ₹15 crore for Nani’s The Paradise, and the first single “Aaya Sher” has already turned into a massive chartbuster, significantly boosting the film’s buzz.

Taking it a step further, Anirudh is said to have earned an even bigger paycheck for Allu Arjun’s upcoming film with Lokesh Kanagaraj, reportedly pocketing around ₹21 crore. Even the initial glimpse released during the film’s announcement highlighted how impactful his music could be, justifying the hefty fee.

Interestingly, his remuneration now matches—or even exceeds—that of several mid-range heroes in the industry. Traditionally, a film’s budget has been dominated by the hero and director’s pay, but Anirudh’s rise signals a shift where a music director is becoming equally significant in terms of cost and influence.

Despite a slowdown in the music rights market, producers are still willing to invest heavily in Anirudh, banking on his ability to amplify a film’s reach, hype, and business prospects. However, while the money is not a constraint, his packed schedule across Telugu and Tamil industries is emerging as the biggest challenge, with dates becoming increasingly difficult to secure.
