Apple has reportedly finalised the design for its first-ever foldable device, widely expected to be a foldable iPhone. Several leaks and reports have been circulating online, offering an early look at what the company may be planning and how it could compare to existing foldables in the market.

Tipster Sonny Dickson recently shared images of dummy units of the so-called iPhone Fold, believed to represent the finalised design intended for accessory makers. These units reveal key elements such as the rear panel layout, cover display, and the internal folding screen.

The device is expected to follow a book-style foldable design, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series. It is said to feature a 4:3 aspect ratio, making it slightly wider than typical foldables. Reports suggest a 5.5-inch outer display and a larger 7.8-inch inner OLED panel.

Apple may also opt for an ultra-thin titanium frame measuring around 4.5mm. In terms of hardware placement, the volume buttons could be shifted to the top edge, while the Action Button may be absent on this model. Interestingly, the device is also rumoured to use Touch ID instead of Face ID.

On the rear side, the dummy units indicate a horizontal dual-camera setup placed inside a camera module resembling the iPhone Air design. The cover display is expected to offer an edge-to-edge experience with slightly curved corners, while the rear microphone design may include a new seven-hole layout. The inner display’s selfie camera is reportedly positioned in the top-left corner.

Additionally, the iPhone Fold is tipped to launch in a single White colour option. Apple is expected to unveil the device in September 2026 alongside the iPhone 18 Pro lineup.
